AI & Contemplation: Creating out of Awe
Registration opens in early November
AI has unlocked incredible productivity. It has also stirred up fear: of falling behind, of becoming obsolete, of never quite catching up. Ironically, the most powerful tools we’ve ever built can push us to work later and harder, costing us sleep, rest and relationships.
So what would it look like to build with AI out of awe instead of anxiety?
We invite you to a hands-on afternoon to pause, reflect and wonder together. We believe our humanity (our curiosity, our sense of wonder, our connection to God, and our need for rest and relationships) is a strength, not a weakness, in the age of AI.
The afternoon
3:00 PM · Arrive, settle in and meet people
3:15 PM · Welcome and an intro to KingdomHaus, FaithTech, and Faith Work & Tech.
3:30 PM · A short talk by Paul Taylor on AI, our humanity, and building from a place of rest, followed by contemplative stations: rotate in small groups through spaces for reflection, Scripture and conversation
4:30 PM · Come back together to share what we noticed and close in prayer
5:00 PM · A shared meal and conversation
Good to know
We'll be exploring AI, rest and awe from a biblical perspective, and people of any faith background (or none) are warmly welcome.
For anyone who’s been building fast with AI and needs a breath, whether you work in tech, ministry, or are simply curious.
This isn’t a networking event. Think of it as a Sabbath: a time of rest, reflection and wonder.
FaithTech is a global Christian tech community building technology in ways that redemptively change the world while transforming the people who build it.
KingdomHaus is a clubhouse where missional founders, investors, and innovators build together and renew culture toward human flourishing.
