Summer Crochet Workshop: Raffia Bag Charm
🌾 Join us for a relaxed Summer Raffia Charm Workshop in New York City.
In this hands-on craft workshop, you’ll learn how to make a soft, playful raffia tassel charm using natural raffia fibers. Inspired by summer markets, beach baskets, handmade textures, and slow afternoons, this little charm is light, beautiful, and full of warm-weather feeling.
This workshop is beginner-friendly and will gently introduce you to basic crochet techniques. You’ll learn two common starting methods and three foundational crochet stitches, giving you a simple but practical introduction to working with raffia and creating handmade details.
You can attach your finished charm to a tote bag, straw bag, key ring, basket, or use it as a small handmade decoration at home.
We will provide beads for you to add into your raffia charm, so each piece can feel more personal and unique. No experience is needed.
As a complementary gift, you’ll also receive a raffia bag pattern so you can pair your handmade charm with a matching summer bag.
Iced tea and light snacks will be provided.
