​Soapbox Project is a 501(c)(3) non-profit creating Seattle’s most joyful community space for climate action.

​Every week in 2025 and 2026, we've been gathering in Belltown to restore our connections with each other, our food, the land, and our futures.

​After the smashing success of last year's gala, which you can get a peak at via one attendee's article or our Instagram highlight, we're running it back to see if we can possibly top it this year.

​details at a glance + what's included

​Who: people who care about the planet, wish there were more community spaces in the world, and love having fun (i.e. YOU)

​What: dinner party + celebration + fundraiser for Soapbox Seattle, the city's most joyful community space for climate action.

​Where & when: Washington 1000, located across the Seattle Convention Center at 1000 Olive Way. It's easily accessible by bus. If you must take a car, there's street parking as well as a paid garage nearby. 5:30-11pm.

​Why: we need third places where we can gather to make friends and take action for a new world instead of just "fighting climate change" and also we need to fund them 😃

​Wear: fancy outfits that make you feel EARTH MAGIC-y. See below for outfit inspo.

​What's included in all tickets: plant-based dinner, a welcome drink (A or NA), a welcome sweet treat, and plenty of activities for introverts and extroverts alike! (You can buy additional drinks at our signature drinks bar with A and NA options.)

​EARTH MAGIC schedule

​Please note that we will have a decompression/low-stimulus room available during the whole night.

• ​✨ 5:30 | Doors open. You'll be swept through a floral portal into an enchanted tea garden with Bridgerton-style string quartet vibes! You'll get a welcome drink and a map of everything you need for the evening.

• ​✨ 6:00-7:45 | DOWNSTAIRS: Immersive activities, dinner, and drinks. We'll have flower crown making in our enchanted garden if you want to whimsify your outfit, and then you can get your photo taken in our fairy photobooth. You can eat and drink the night away while doing arts and crafts (we've got two other activities up our sleeve). Chef Ash Glover-Ganapathiraju from Ojaswe will be treating us to dinner that supports resilient foodways in the PNW and beyond.

• ​✨ 6:00-7:45 | UPSTAIRS: Four-course plant-based tasting menu by Chef Ashley Morford-Haines of The Tiderun with poetry pairings with each course, by 2026 Soapbox Poet Laureate Neelam Patel.

• ​✨ 8:00-8:30 | Poetry, toasts, and paddle raise! Soapbox's 2026 Poet Laureate Neelam Patel will guide us through the story of Soapbox over the last couple years. Seattle Councilmember Alexis Mercedes Rinck will give a toast, along with other members of our community. We've never done a paddle raise before, but it sounds fun and fancy.

• ​✨ 8:30-9:30 | Dance floor pt. 1 with Dream Sessions, an imaginative concert & conversation set with Stanklin. One of our favorite bands, Stanklin, will turn up the vibes even higher with their live-looped music. Between their songs, Soapbox Project CEO Nivi Achanta will moderate imagination prompts to dream up the future we're building together!

• ​✨ 9:30-11:00 | Raffle followed by dance floor pt. 2 with DJ Anoop. Soapbox member and DJ Anoop will close out the night. Anything is possible on the dance floor! Anyone who's donated any amount during our night will have the chance to win two prizes: a somatic session with Nichole Stein, or a cooking class with Chef Ash.

​outfit inspiration

​Dress up! You can interpret "Earth Magic" as you wish, but please do not buy anything new. Get as fancy as you want; it's time to show Seattle how it's done. The venue is indoors with outdoor patio space, so you can bring layers if you anticipate wanting to hang outside.

​final notes

​Earth Magic 2026 will be the perfect occasion to bring a date, friends or family visiting from out of town, or your whole Seattle crew. It's not a good fit for pets. You can bring your kids, but it's up to you if you think they'd enjoy the evening. Please feel free to reach out via email if you have any more questions!
