About Event

Jewel-toned yarn meets woven mesh canvas, and calmly, a bag takes shape. It's a tactile, beginner-friendly project to needlepoint, with a curated selection of yarns, colors, and textures. No two bags leave the studio quite the same.

Four unhurried hours of stitching, building, and finishing by hand, with a break to recharge along the way, until your canvas becomes a bag ready to carry.

Artist Bio:

Aashita is an artist who sustainably creates one-of-a-kind upcycled garments. She draws inspiration from indigenous Indian art traditions, translating them into approachable, contemporary sessions for beginners and curious makers. Crafting has always been a calming, meditative process for her.

Good to know:

  • Mesh canvas, a selection of yarns in different colours to choose from.

  • Knitting needles and all the hardware needed to finish your bag, including marker buckles, D-rings, a bag strap chain, and a bag buckle.

  • Artist-led instruction throughout the session.

  • No previous experience needed, ever.

  • Four hours of making, stitching, experimenting, and exploring.

  • You leave with a finished plastic canvas bag, ready to carry.

  • Complimentary tea service during the session.
