Autumn Weaving: Yarn & Foliage
Bring a little piece of autumn indoors. In this tactile, beginner-friendly weaving workshop, you'll create a small woven artwork using a mix of colourful yarns, dried foliage, grasses, and natural textures.
You'll learn the basics of weaving, experiment with different yarns and techniques, and discover how to incorporate delicate autumn elements into your piece. Think soft yarns, earthy textures, wispy grasses, and little fragments of the season coming together to create something uniquely yours.
Your finished piece will be a small, one-of-a-kind woven artwork that can be displayed on a wall, shelf, or cosy corner of your home.
Artist Bio:
Aashita is a textile artist and the founder of Surface Studio, a Montréal-based creative studio exploring tactile art, textiles, and slow craft. With a background in fashion and textiles, she draws inspiration from natural materials, traditional craft techniques, and the quiet beauty of everyday objects. Her workshops are designed to be approachable, relaxed, and inviting for curious makers of all experience levels.
