Solutions Night
Whether you need some quick feedback on your landing page, or help digging into something knottier, B.Y.O.P. - bring your own problem* - & join everyone on a quest to find solutions!
*it's also cool if you don't have a problem to bring, & just want to help solve things!
The evening will take place in two parts:
1) Lightening feedback for short form problems
Like speed dating but with actionable feedback! Present something quick - like your website, offer, pricing structure, elevator pitch, advert, cv or cover letter - & get feedback on first impressions from multiple people, in a 1-2-1 setting.
2) Storming discussions for long form problems
More like a hot seat or mastermind. We'll pick (probably) two or three in advance to bring to the whole group. First the person with the issue will give a short presentation on the problem space, then everyone can ask questions to help think through the issue, & propose solutions.
This could be for a problem or opportunity in your business or career, but could also be looking at solving a problem in a sector - you must want to try & find something you can actively do about it though.
Because we're here to find solutions, not just vent, here a few rules for the night:
Be open-minded - don't shoot down ideas immediately. Yes, it might not work, but sometimes thinking about that idea can lead to another one that does
Be constructive - something might suck, but it's more helpful to identify why & how it can become less sucky
Be kind - we're all here united against the problems, not an individual or group
