Agentic Advertising Connect - Australia
Join the AgenticAdvertising.Org (AAO) community for an afternoon of conversation, learning and networking focused on the future of AI-powered media and marketing.
As AI agents begin transforming how advertising is planned, bought, optimised, and measured, the industry is entering a new era: Agentic Advertising.
This meetup, the first in Australia, brings together leaders across brands, agencies, publishers, platforms, and AI advertising startups to explore what’s changing, what’s possible, and how the ecosystem can prepare for the next generation of media buying.
Hosted in Sydney with support from pubX, PubMatic, News Australia and Apostra, this event is designed for anyone curious about the future of advertising infrastructure, AI agents, media workflows, and open interoperability standards like AdCP (Ad Context Protocol).

Agenda:
2.30PM: Registration starts.
3.00-3.45PM:
Opening session: What happens when you give the agent the brief?
June Cheung, Head of JAPAC, Apostra. Andrew Gilbert, Country Manager ANZ, pubX
Media is starting to be bought and sold by software acting on our behalf. Most of what’s sold as “agentic” today helps you operate a platform you’ve already chosen. The bigger shift is agents trading across the whole market, starting from the advertiser’s brief. June and Andrew explain what that looks like in practice, what it means for publishers, local media and privacy, and why an open standard, AdCP, matters if it’s going to work for everyone. They’ll also cover where AgenticAdvertising.org fits, and why Australia should help write the rules this time rather than adopt them later. Thirty minutes, then fifteen minutes of open questions.
