Join the Johannesburg Grok Bot community and WeThinkCode for a full day of hands-on building. Work with a team to turn a real small-business problem into an AI assistant or agent, test what it can do, and show your work.
The focus is practical: a clear problem, a well-briefed agent and a working demonstration. Bring your curiosity, your ideas and a willingness to experiment.
THE CHALLENGE
Build an AI agent or AI assistant using Grok Bot Agents for South African small businesses to save them money, time, and effort on real repeatable tasks.
Choose a real, repeating task. Explain the problem, build a solution, test it with made-up data and demonstrate how it works.
WHO IT'S FOR
Students, developers, designers, founders and curious problem-solvers who want to explore what AI agents can do. Teams can bring different skills: understanding a problem, designing a workflow, building, testing and explaining the result.
WHAT TO EXPECT
- A shared challenge, with room for teams to choose their own solution.
- Hands-on time to build and test an AI assistant or agent.
- A chance to demonstrate your work and learn from other teams.
The judging details will be confirmed after review with the WeThinkCode team.
WHAT TO BRING
- A laptop and charger.
- An idea for a task worth making easier, or curiosity about the challenge.
- Made-up data for testing. Do not bring confidential, client or personal data.
Any account setup or software preparation will be shared once the tools and access arrangements are confirmed. Additional build credits are to be confirmed.
