Breaking Burnout Live | Mississauga (Ladies Only Event)
NABEELA ELSAYED IN CONVERSATION WITH Dr. RUBY ALVl, BREAKING BURNOUT
WHO THIS IS FOR
Most rooms about burnout are built to make you feel better for ninety minutes. This one is built to change what you believe about why you are tired, because the belief is what holds the exhaustion in place.
We tend to treat burnout as a personal failure. A stamina problem. A boundaries problem. Something the exhausted person should have handled better. Breaking Burnout makes the opposite case: burnout is what happens when the definition of success you were handed was never survivable in the first place.
People who are tired in a way that sleep doesn't fix. The executive still performing at full capacity and quietly running on empty. The parent who cannot switch off. The high achiever wondering whether this is simply what success feels like now. So basically everyone.
THE EVENING
The Talk: Nabeela on the Burnout Loop: how ambition becomes a closed circuit, and where the exit actually sits.
The Conversation: a live discussion and questions from the room. Nabeela will then take the audience through one exercise from the Reimagine Success Roadmap.
Bring something to write with.
The Writers' Table: The Sakina Literary Society will be in the room for anyone who has a book in them, especially Muslim women carrying a story they haven't yet put on the page. Come with your questions about writing, publishing, and finding a community of writers who will hold you to it.
Signed Books - An optional signing and personalization line will follow the author talk. Signing details are subject to change depending on author and publisher needs.
Please note: Every ticket purchase includes a copy of the book and light snacks.

THE AUTHOR
ABOUT NABEELA
Nabeela Elsayed spent 25 years climbing from a barista earning $6.50 an hour to the C-suite, becoming CHRO of IKEA US, then CHRO and COO of Walmart Canada, running 400+ stores and 100,000 employees across transformations in 47 countries.
She spent two decades climbing the corporate ladder and quietly burning out. She did everything right, and everything she tried failed. Then one day she stopped pretending and started talking about her burnout and realized most of the high achievers around her were experiencing the same thing, and no one seemed to know how to get off the burnout loop. She went looking for answers. Breaking Burnout presents the findings and solutions she discovered.
Breaking Burnout (Post Hill Press / Simon & Schuster) is her first book. It will be published on 27 October 2026.
