This edition of SpeechLab is built specifically for founders - and we’re making things deliberately chaotic!!!!!!!
You’ll be pitching terrible startup ideas with complete conviction, reacting to surprise scenarios halfway through, and presenting slides you’ve never seen before.
Expect:
Bad Idea Pitch
Draw a ridiculous startup idea and convince the room it deserves to exist.
Halfway through, we’ll throw in a surprise:
Your competitor just launched for free.
Your co-founder quit.
The investor thinks the market is too small.
Now sell it to an enterprise customer.
No preparation. Keep going.
PowerPoint Karaoke
You get a deck you’ve never seen before.
Your job? Present it like you absolutely know what you’re talking about.
Founder challenges
Short, fast exercises designed to help you think clearly, communicate simply and stay composed when things don’t go according to plan.
This is not about delivering the perfect pitch.
It’s about getting better at the moments you can’t rehearse.
Who is this for?

No one is pitching their actual startup during the Bad Idea round.
Just come ready to speak, improvise, laugh, and probably defend a truly terrible business idea with alarming confidence.

🕕 Timing
Doors open: 5:40pm
Session: 6:00–8:00pm
Please aim to arrive between 5:40–5:55pm.
We’ll start at 6:00pm sharp and go straight into the first exercise. Because the session is small and several activities run in groups, it’s difficult to integrate people once we’ve started.
So please treat 6:00pm as the start time rather than the arrival time :)
