Information Security is essential within the health sector due to the sensitive nature of communication and data exchanged daily. Email systems, in particular, serve as a primary channel for official communication and must be properly secured to prevent unauthorized access, data breaches, and misuse.
As part of its mandate to safeguard Protected Health Information (PHI) and maintain secure communication channels, the Ghana Health Service (GHS) has established policies governing the use of corporate email systems.
This session focuses on E-mail Protection (Section 4.6), which defines the rules, responsibilities, and safeguards required to ensure secure and professional use of email within GHS.
