​Hosted by Josh, a student on exchange from the University of Sussex.

​Come practice your Japanese or English in a relaxed, no-pressure setting at Akiya Collective's makerspace. Whether you're a fluent speaker looking for conversation or just getting started, everyone is welcome — we'll pair up and switch between languages so both sides get to learn.

​Snacks and tea provided. All ages welcome, family-friendly. Bring yourself and whatever level you're at. Locals especially welcome — just come say hi.

   Pay what you want: We never want cost to be a barrier. However, since we do operate a material space, we have expenses. Donate what you can here to keep things going. 100% of proceeds go toward the makerspace, rural revitalization, and supporting community events.
