With When in Menopause, Weiss-Wolf charts the next frontier in health policy and law: confronting systemic medical neglect, securing workplace protections under employment law, safeguarding consumer and health data privacy, and mobilizing the political momentum of Gen X to reshape national policy.
The evening's discussion will be moderated by SHRRBA Co-Founders Natalie Birnbaum, Esq. and Melissa Torres-Montoya, J.D., M.P.H.

Jennifer Weiss-Wolf serves as Executive Director of the Birnbaum Women’s Leadership Center at NYU School of Law and leads partnerships and strategy at Ms. magazine. Dubbed the “architect of the U.S. campaign to squash the tampon tax” by Newsweek, Jen has presented on menstruation, menopause, and the law at the White House, before Congress, and across state and city legislatures nationwide.
Her pioneering 2017 book, Periods Gone Public: Taking a Stand for Menstrual Equity, was hailed by Gloria Steinem as “the beginning of liberation for us all.” In When in Menopause, Weiss-Wolf masterfully translates lived experience into actionable civic and legal frameworks—empowering individuals to demand better medical care, protect their wallets and digital privacy, assert their workplace rights, and hold policymakers accountable.
