About Event

How do cybercriminals think, operate, and exploit vulnerabilities - and why does understanding the adversary matter when investing in cybersecurity?

The Hacker Mindset takes us inside the world of cyber threats and cybercriminals. We begin with the global cyber threat landscape before moving from strategy to practice with hands-on hacking and an exploration of how attackers identify and exploit opportunities.

We will also look at what happens when an attack becomes a real-world crisis: How do you communicate and negotiate with cybercriminals when systems, data, money, and reputations are at stake?

For investors, understanding the threat is an important part of understanding the opportunity. Which security problems are urgent enough for organizations to invest in solving? How do threats evolve? And how can you better assess whether a cybersecurity startup is addressing a real and important problem?

The session combines perspectives from intelligence, offensive security, and cyber crisis management to give you a stronger foundation for understanding the problems cybersecurity companies are built to solve — and ultimately for making more informed investment decisions in the sector.

Who is this for?

Cyber Angel Academy is designed for current and potential investors who want to strengthen their understanding of cybersecurity and their ability to identify and evaluate promising startups.

The event is particularly relevant for:

Business Angels: Private investors eager to explore opportunities in cybersecurity but lacking the industry or technical knowledge to make informed decisions.

Exited Cybersecurity Founders: Entrepreneurs who have successfully exited their ventures and are now looking to reinvest their expertise and capital into new startups.

Industry Experts: Professionals with extensive experience in cybersecurity seeking to expand their influence through startup investments.

Venture Funds: Institutional investors focused on scaling promising startups and enhancing the Danish cybersecurity ecosystem.
