​Mandy Harris Williams is taking her acclaimed show Critique Cabaret to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this August and you’re invited to an exclusive preview performance and afterparty to send her off with a bang!

​Join us in Downtown LA on Thursday, July 23 and be wholly engrossed in an evening of pop, oration, and critical thinking by the performer that Dazed Magazine says “makes cultural criticism a performance in its own right.”

​About Critique Cabaret:

​Does glamour offer refuge for the beleaguered intellectual, or is it a trojan horse for delivering critical theory?

​Critical theory is transformed into cabaret glamour in this Black, queer, feminist reimagining of Cabaret where pop spectacle is the show. Oration, original music, dance and projected video collide in a show about attention, survival and the cost of staying politically coherent in public.

​Do you stay or do you leave? Do you fight or do you party? Do you keep performing under power, or step out from under the demand to make sense?
