Healthtech - The Business of Doing Good
How do you build a company with real business goals when your ultimate mission is to do good in the world?
We would all love to work on products that make a real difference. In healthcare, that mission is especially meaningful: improving care, extending lives, reducing suffering.
But turning that mission into a business that actually works is much harder than it sounds.
That is the core tension we will explore in our upcoming meetup: a product designed to help people can only create long-term impact if the company behind it is strong enough to survive, grow, and scale.
We will look at this challenge from the perspective of product leaders, through three must-hear talks:
"What Good Looks Like in Hyper-Growth Healthcare" by Ayelet Gvirsman, Head of Product @ Tailormed
US healthcare is one of the world's hardest, biggest markets and the most exciting place to be building and doing good at scale. As the market shifts, top Israeli healthtech companies are in a category-defining moment to evolve from disruptors to leaders. Take a look inside Tailormed: how we think about product in hyper growth, and what good looks like from what we ship to the people who build it.
"Transforming Healthcare with AI: Driving Clinical Impact and Measurable ROI" by Moria Dagan, Ph.D., Clinical AI Product Manager @ Aidoc.
Driven by a clear mission to help transform healthcare, Aidoc, a leader in clinical AI, scales technology to improve diagnostic quality, expand critical diagnostic capacity, and boost radiologist productivity while delivering measurable clinical and financial impact. This talk explores how healthcare AI products can create meaningful patient impact while delivering measurable value for health systems. It will show how AI can help address preventable delays in diagnosis and care coordination by identifying critical findings, accelerating team activation, and supporting more consistent workflows, while translating clinical impact into a compelling ROI case for health system adoption.
"Is doing good good for business?" by Ronen Soffer, Product Chief @ Intuition Robotics
The entrepreneurial vision behind helping lonely elderly people be less lonely and more active. Telling the story from a more business-oriented perspective without the polished “success story” narrative.
After the talks, Shay Shafranek, CPO @ Empathy will join the speakers for a panel discussion about the business side of do-good products: how to validate the business use case, avoid conflicts between mission and business model, measure product success, and connect product decisions to business goals.
The panel will be moderated by Hadas Sheinfeld.
This meetup is for anyone who is building, wants to build, or dreams of building a product that does good in the world and turning it into a successful business.
