Wilbe x Gigascale: An Unscripted Breakfast
Who gets to build the future?
Abundance this century will stem from the work of scientists and engineers. Yet the institutions meant to educate, fund and support them often constrain their ambition.
What would we build differently if we were starting from scratch?
Join a small group of founders, investors, philanthropists and scientists for breakfast and an intimate, Unscripted conversation on scientific freedom, unconventional talent and the institutions we need next.
This gathering also closes out our Wilbe Founder Residency. All week, a handful of founders we’ve recently backed have been building in San Francisco, breaking new ground in aerospace engineering, maritime robotics, automated labs and continuous biochemical sensing. We’d love for you to meet them.
Schedule:
8:30-9:00 Caffeine!
9:00-9:45 An informal, Unscripted conversation with:
Prachee Avasthi (Co-founder and CSO, Arcadia Science)
Evaline Tsai (Partner, Gigascale Capital)
Ale Maiano (Co-founder & CEO, Wilbe)
9:45-10:30 Breakfast & networking on the patio
The event is taking place in San Francisco, the address is shared with approved guests. Please note we have limited capacity at the space, so if you're unable to attend please let us know so that we can give a spot to someone on the waiting list.
Hosted by Wilbe and Gigascale Capital at Gigascale's San Francisco office.
Wilbe provides scientists and engineers the venture infrastructure they need to build moonshots: venture training, first checks, community and physical lab space. Since 2020, we’ve equipped over 1800 researchers, some we’ve backed from day zero - from Proxima Fusion, Apoha to Icarus.
Gigascale Capital backs early-stage companies rebuilding the physical economy. Climate progress comes from better performance: technologies that are cheaper to deploy, faster to scale, and cleaner than what they replace. Their team helps founders make the technical, commercial, and financing decisions that shape the path from lab to scale.
