Is Your MCP Server Good? Building MCP Servers for Agents

About Event
Describe an MCP server to an AI and it'll write you one that runs on the first try. Connect it to a real agent, though, and things start to break. Usually it's the same story: someone points the AI at their REST API, it turns 40 endpoints into 40 separate tools, and the agent has to read the whole list and spend most of its context before it can do anything useful. It demos beautifully and then falls apart once there's real work to do.
Join Nate Nowack, senior software engineer and FastMCP maintainer, and Wayne Grigsby, lead sales engineer, as they build a server from scratch and walk through the design patterns and the decisions that matter along the way.
