About Muskan

Muskan Mumtaz is a Kashmiri lawyer turned designer and writer, and the founder of her eponymous eveningwear label, an antique wear house rooted in South Asian heritage. After sourcing antique bridal wear across Bombay and Lahore, she built a brand centred on reviving dense hand embroidery through heirloom pieces that honour the artisans behind them. Her writing has appeared in Vogue India, where she traced her sourcing journey across Partition-era histories and near-extinct craftsmanship. She joins Musly's NYFW table to speak to heritage, craft, and how South Asian textile traditions are finding a place on the modern stage.
