About Event

Digital innovation is reshaping economies worldwide, and the partnership between Indonesia and the United Kingdom sits at the heart of one of its most exciting frontiers.

Indonesia is Southeast Asia's largest economy and its most vibrant startup ecosystem. The country is home to over 2,400 startups, is a testament to Indonesia's capacity to build technology that scales. With a digital economy valued at over USD 90 billion in 2024 and projected to reach USD 200–300 billion by 2030, Indonesia is not just a market to watch, it is a market to act on.

At the same time, the United Kingdom brings the ideal complement. As Europe's leading tech hub, the UK is home to over 30,000 technology companies, a thriving deep tech and AI research base, world-class universities, and one of the most active venture capital markets globally. London consistently ranks as a top-three global startup ecosystem alongside Silicon Valley and New York.

The convergence of these two ecosystems, one defined by depth and maturity, the other by scale and momentum, creates a compelling case for collaboration. Strategic partnerships, co-investment, talent exchange, and market access commitments between UK and Indonesian stakeholders are not just possible. they are increasingly necessary for both countries to remain competitive in a fast-moving global digital economy.

This masterclass session at London Tech Week 2026 brings together founders, investors, policymakers, and ecosystem leaders from both nations to turn that potential into impactful action. The Vice Minister will deliver his keynote on Indonesia's policy on digital and AI development. After that, six high-growth startups from Indonesia will also pitch their innovations, namely:
