From Campus to Career: Networking in Tech
Four routes into tech, a moderated discussion, and facilitated conversations over snacks Whether you’re taking your first steps into the field, considering a career change, or bringing years of experience to a new context, this evening is about meeting people, exchanging perspectives, and exploring what’s next in your tech journey.

Everyone says the first job in tech is the hard one. The routes people actually took are rarely as straight as their CVs make them look.
On this evening, four people tell theirs: the detours, the changes of plan, and the things that only turned out to matter later. Come to listen, and take what is useful for your own route, wherever you are on it.
The evening is built as an exchange. People starting out know what the way in looks like right now. People further in have seen how careers bend over years. Put together, they can offer each other a pointer, an introduction, or a question that opens up another way of seeing things.
If you hire, mentor or lead people who are just arriving, it’s also a chance to see the field from where they stand.

If you are thinking about mentoring, or contributing to someone else’s route in, this is a room where that can start as a conversation.g
What to expect
Four short presentations, each telling one route into tech, followed by a moderated discussion and questions from the room.
We ask every speaker one question in particular: did anything outside the CV play a part? Often, the route in runs through a room someone showed up to rathgr than an application they sent.
After that, facilitated networking over snacks. Not a scrum by the door: we set it up so you get to talk to people you did not arrive with.
