Network Society Camp Party @ Patri's
Having a party for all my peeps in town for TNS Camp, Monday, October 14th, 5pm - 10pm, with BBQ dinner. We'll end relatively early as it's a school night. Standard description below:
My parties gather an eclectic mix of odd, kind, interesting, curious, open-minded, intellectually humble people interested in futuristic & alternative governance, crypto, spirituality, community, charter cities, dancing, seasteading, psychedelics, rationality, immortality, circling, libertarianism, IFS & AI safety.
Those who wander the wilds off the beaten path, where there be dragons - for the profit, the lulz, the epic adventures, and sometimes, by the grace of god & our own diligent right effort, to give our gifts in service of humanity.
• Mostly we talk, but there are also boardgames, party games, and a full sized Dance Dance Revolution arcade machine.
• Food & Drink: There will be BBQ, water/soda/beer/wine, beyond that feel free to BYOF&B.
• People generally don't drink to excess, and the first few hours are family-friendly.
• Smoking with fire is prohibited (vapes welcome, indoor or outdoor), after that one party last year where I found a burnt patch of grass by the patio, and reported it, and my message got garbled in the chain & fire trucks rolled up with full lights and sirens thinking it was a live fire 😂.
• Guests are encouraged to bring a few culture-aligned friends.
• RSVPs strongly encouraged to cover F&B costs, but not strictly required.
TRADITIONS: Should it seem fun, join in the house tradition of
OPTIONAL contributions that match the Patri house aesthetic: bring a sticker for the full-size DDR arcade machine or a magnet for the fridge that will amuse, enlighten, or delight guests.
