Every week, someone shows the room a film they've never actually watched — and never on anything bigger than a laptop or TV, until now.

For our [Nth] screening, we'll be showing Sidney Lumet's Network (1976).

A television network cynically exploits a deranged former anchor's ravings and revelations about mass media for its own profit, but finds that his message may be difficult to control.

Nearly fifty years old and somehow more prescient now than when it was released — this is the film that gave us "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take this anymore," and it predicted the entire attention-economy, outrage-as-content media landscape we're all still living inside.
