​What is mini painting?

​"Mini painting" (short for miniature painting) is the hobby of hand-painting small figurines, usually made of plastic or resin. The figures are typically 25–35mm tall, so indeed, they are mini!

​It's most associated with tabletop roleplaying games like Dungeons & Dragons or Warhammer, where the minis represent characters or creatures on the game table. But plenty of people paint them purely as a creative hobby.

​⭐️ Marnie & Nick, the co-founders of Counterspell, will be on-hand to help you create a custom character with the roll of the dice.

​🌟 Next, we'll help you select a mini to match your new character's personality, as we provide all the painting materials and techniques you need to bring them to life!

​✨ Your ticket includes one mini and unlimited event time to paint. We'll also provide you with a protective container to take your mini safely home with you :)

​Never rolled a D20 before? No worries!

​This is a great opportunity to explore the world of tabletop games for a spell. And if you regularly play TTRPGs like D&D or Daggerheart, this is the perfect time for you to dream up your next character (or even paint a mini of your current one!)

​What you'll experience:

• ​​Everything you need to get creative. We provide all the materials, from paint to paintbrushes, dice and dice trays, and a selection of heroic miniatures to choose from.

• ​​​Create your hero, tell their story. Whether you're creating a new character using the Counterspell mini-game, or would like to paint an existing character from your TTRPG campaign, the choice is up to you!

• ​​​Make new friends IRL! Counterspell Games events are completely in person, with no screens. Take a break from notifications and doomscrolling, meet new people, and share in a truly analog experience.
