“The House Believes that the recent wildfires across the UK and Europe shows that we haven't done enough to counter the effects of climate change.”
Potential Areas For Discussion
Proposition
Our country and others are on fire because we are not doing enough.
This summer has been one of the hottest and driest on record.
If we don't stop now these fires could become the new normal.
Opposition
Europe has done more than any other content to counteract climate change.
It hasn’t been convincingly shown that pollution is the cause of the fires.
We can't make a difference if countries like China and India don't stop too.
