Slow Screens - Ramen & Studio Ghibli
Slow Screens is the communal viewing series at The Living Room. A film, a match, a season opener - watched together, without the isolation of a private screen. The Slow Screens format is unhurried: the conversation before, the silence during, the discussion after. That is the whole point.
Ramen & Ghibli A Studio Ghibli film, bowls of ramen Flown from Japan , hot tea, and a slow evening together. The screen is only part of the experience.
About the Ramen
For this evening, we'll be serving Ichiran Ramen — one of Japan's most beloved ramen houses, known for its rich tonkotsu broth and thin Hakata-style noodles.
Originating in Fukuoka, Ichiran became famous for its focus on a single bowl perfected over decades. The broth is made by slowly extracting flavour from pork bones, creating the deep, comforting character that has made tonkotsu ramen one of Japan's most celebrated styles.
Please note that this ramen is not vegetarian and contains pork.
