Midweek Creative Reset: A Mixed Media Assemblage Experience to Reground & Redirect
Midweek Creative Reset: A Mixed Media Assemblage Experience to Reground & Redirect
Not only are wednesdays hard, but the mornings are too.
A lot of us get a burst of energy in the afternoon and get our creative juices flowing right before we need to start winding down. We can really benefit from prompting that creativity in the morning. In the middle of the week, when we need to get out of our box the most.
I'm hosting a guided mixed media assemblage art session. It will be a blend of intuitive art with light instruction regarding the tools and ways items can be used.
Since my art boxes are freeform abstract art, even the pro and the novice will be in a state of exploration so theres no pressure.
What you'll get:
-An art kit that is easy to start working on and easy to pack up for small spaces and busy people
-You'll leave the class with a work of art that shows you what type of visual and tactile elements that you naturally gravitate towards
(I've had people use this form of art as a visual mood board to help them decorate their apartments, or made art that ties the unique furniture of the room together.
Some of these pieces have shown up on people's gallery walls as conversation pieces.)
-You will also leave the class with another canvas that you can work on at home
The mood of the day:
-Curated playlist for ambiance
- I will have something to drink and snacks. You can bring a light lunch and BYOB
-Creative prompts and a take-home guide
-Curiosity
What you'll learn:
-Layering techniques (paper, fabric, found objects)
-Composition basics without rigidity
-How to work intuitively without overthinking
-Creative reset practices you can reuse at home
Included in the Art Box:
-Your mystery theme
-Vintage paper and tags
-Modern ephemera
-Ribbon and string

Whether you're a professional artist or feel completely uncreative, whatever your job or hobby may be, I've curated art kits with everything that you need to create a finished piece. My kits are designed to allow you to see all of your options in front of you so your brain will automatically start to gravitate towards certain pieces. The Arguably Art Box's themed, curated items reduces decision fatigue and helps you see things a little differently.
This is what I love about mixed media: even though some might not consider themselves creative, they will feel like they are with my art kits. They just need a little guidance and a prompt that gets them excited.
If you have ever decided what pieces go great on your gallery wall or what pillows would look perfect with the fabric of your couch, you are creative when it comes to Arguably Adulting Art Kits.
