The Art of the Pitch: Best Practices and Insights into the Creative Brief with Simon Landry (Ubisoft)
Join Ubisoft Music Supervisor Simon Landry for a workshop that's all about how music brings video games to life, and how to pitch your musical ideas in response to a creative brief. We'll kick off with an introduction to music theory and how it shapes a game's atmosphere, emotion, and storytelling. Simon will also share examples from his years at Ubisoft, showing how music supports the creative vision on some major video game projects, tying it all back to the creative brief itself, and how that connects to the choices composers make, and the way they present their work.
The workshop will also give participants the chance to present their own work. Everyone's welcome to bring along game music of their own to listen to and discuss together, with plenty of room for feedback and swapping ideas.
So bring your own game music, and come ready for an open conversation about what actually makes musical ideas work!
MängudeÖÖ conference ticket is required to participate in the workshop.
The workshop is held in collaboration with Tier Music.
