Kisumu, Kenya • Youth Voices: Performance & Dialogue
Amplifying the voices of youth and women through knowledge based communication and education, using artivism as a tool for social change.
Amazon Theatrix Ensemble brings together young creative changemakers from the Manyatta and Obunga communities in Kisumu, Kenya, to perform original pieces in theatre, dance, spoken word, fashion, and design. Each performance speaks to the realities young people face today, including gender based violence, HIV and STIs, crime, and substance abuse.
After the performances, the audience joins a facilitated dialogue with experts in health, climate change, democracy and governance, and peace and security, closing with an open Q&A. The goal is behaviour change communication (BCC): using art to open honest conversations and move toward real solutions.
Join us for an evening of art, dialogue, and change in Kisumu!
