​Join Week 1 of the KCL Tech Academy Java Workshop Series: Setting Up and Basics.

​Open to all university students, whichever university or subject you study! Completely beginner-friendly. You don’t need any coding experience to join.

​We’ll help you install BlueJ and guide you through writing your first Java program, step by step. Just bring your laptop!

​What you’ll learn

• ​Installing and getting started with BlueJ

• ​The difference between public and private

• ​Java data types: int, String, and float

• ​Declaring variables and using basic arithmetic operators

​Create a personalised intro card that prints your name, age, and what you study.
