On D'Angelo: A Culinary Listening Session & Panel
Chicken Grease. Brown Sugar. Devil's Pie. Sugah Daddy.
Some of D'Angelo's most iconic lyrics revolve around food, so we're diving into his discography for an aural feast.
Join us for the first of our culinary listening sessions, where we invite chefs, musicians, and cultural gourmands to explore the life and work of some of our favorite performers.
For this session, Chefs Omar Tate, Cybille St. Aude-Tate, and Jon Gray will interpret D'Angelo's work through food and will be joined in conversation by archivist Syreeta Gates. Musical selections by DJ Tara will frame the evening.
Your ticket includes bites by Omar and Cybille, a signature beverage by Jon, plus access to the conversation and listening session.
Co-produced with Korsha Wilson of A Hungry Society.
