​Women’s History Month at Mi Tea Lounge

​Saturday Scribe is a weekly creative writing gathering for people who want dedicated time to write, sharpen their craft, and move their work forward in community. Writers of all levels and genres are welcome—film, poetry, prose, theater, and hybrid work.

​In March, we focus on choice, agency, and consequence. This month centers on the moments in story when a character must decide. We will write scenes that live in the pause before the choice, the risk of saying yes, the cost of walking away, and what changes once a decision is made. The emphasis is on scene, tension, and forward motion.

​This month, we are gathering at Mi Tea Lounge in celebration of Women’s History Month, supporting one of the few remaining woman-owned coffee and tea shops in Tulsa. We are grateful to Tea for generously offering the following perks to our community:

​What to bring:
A pen and paper or notebook. Laptops are welcome. Bring an idea you are ready to test on the page.

​Session format:
10:00–10:15 — Arrivals and grab coffee
10:15–10:30 — Introductions
10:30–10:45 — Prompt brainstorm
10:45–11:00 — Group share
11:00–11:40 — Writing time
11:40–12:00 — Share, announcements, and closing ritual (group photo)

​Saturday Scribe is about showing up consistently, writing in real time, and leaving with pages that did not exist before you arrived.
