OpenClaw: Build Your Autonomous Assistant
OpenClaw: Build Your Autonomous Assistant
The "No-Fluff" Build-Along Experience
In case you’ve been living under a rock and haven’t heard of Clawdbot (briefly Moltbot) and now OpenClaw — the future (and proverbial cat) has officially been let out of the bag. Some say AGI is here. Well, we’re fixing to find out. If you’re interested in building with agents, this is the event for you.
At AI House, we’re going back to the roots. We aren’t building pet workflows with "low-code" tools we’re writing actual code to build a fully functional, autonomous personal assistant running entirely on your own machine. We will be powering its brain using OpenClaw alongside Qdrant Vector DB for lightning-fast, persistent agent memory.
⚠️ The Gatekeeper Rule (Read Carefully)
If you call yourself a "builder" because you know how to connect two bubbles in a drag-and-drop tool, this event is not for you.
We are looking for actual coders and developers. We’ll be working in the terminal, handling system logic, and managing local integrations. If you aren't comfortable looking at a codebase or debugging a script, you'll be lost by 2:15 PM.
Why Localhost?
Forget expensive VPS servers or cloud lag. We’re doing this Localhost First.
Zero Cost: No hosting fees or server overhead.
Privacy: Your data stays on your machine, not on a random cloud instance.
Speed: 100% control over the environment and execution speed.
Local Memory: By running Qdrant locally, your agent gets high-performance semantic search and long-term memory without leaking a single byte of your context to the outside world.
The Format: Hybrid Workshop + Build Session
This isn't a lecture where you just watch us code. It’s a 50/50 split:
The Workshop: We provide the architectural backbone, the core "agentic" logic, and the Qdrant database integration for robust RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation).
The Build: You take that foundation and build something that actually solves your life's problems. Whether it's a local file organizer, a custom coding co-pilot, or a personal OS navigator you ship it before you leave.
The 4-Hour Sprint Agenda
2:00 PM – 2:45 PM: The Architecture Deconstructing the "Personal Assistant" stack. Setting up the environment, OpenClaw, and your local Qdrant instance.
2:45 PM – 4:00 PM: The Base Build Hands-on co-building. Hooking the assistant into your local system and wiring up Qdrant to handle complex triggers and semantic memory.
4:00 PM – 5:30 PM: Make It Yours (Pure Hacking) This is where the magic happens. No templates allowed. You add the custom integrations (Local APIs, DBs, File Systems) that you actually need.
5:30 PM – 6:00 PM: Show & Tell + Feedback Demoing the most efficient (or chaotic) builds of the day.
What You Need to Bring:
A Laptop ready for some heavy lifting.
Terminal & Python/Node.js proficiency (Non-negotiable).
API Keys for your LLM of choice (OpenAI, Anthropic) or a local setup like Ollama.
Zero Drag-and-Drop Apps.
