Inside Blue Hill Observatory: Teaching Climate from Observation to Understanding

​Join Krista Fincke, Director of Education, to explore how climate science is translated into meaningful learning experiences for students and educators.

​This session focuses on how to build understanding from observation—connecting hands-on experiences, data analysis, and inquiry-based learning to help learners make sense of weather and climate. Krista will share how Blue Hill Observatory supports educators and students in developing the skills needed to interpret data and engage with complex environmental challenges.

​From the summit, take in sweeping views of the Boston skyline—among the best vantage points in the region—and see how geography, elevation, and exposure shape the data we collect.

​Visitors are also welcome to explore the Observatory at their own pace—open from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM.
