Anh Nguyen Artist Alley Opening

​Join us on November 7th at 6PM for the opening of the next Artist Alley takeover! 

​

​“Motherland / Đất Mẹ” by Anh Nguyen brings together photographs of rituals, altars, and offering tables made between Vietnam and the U.S. in search of visual reunions — imagined moments where scattered histories and distant geographies begin to find one another.

​

​The opening reception features “Every altar is a portal,” a live performance and food from Phoebe Tran (@bebep.babykitchen). Performance starts at 6:30pm

​

​As part of the show, there will also be a zine-making workshop with @sprblooom on December 5th (more details to follow)

​

​📸 Anh Nguyen (@minhanhnguyenn) is a Vietnamese photographer based in Brooklyn, NY. Her work explores how cultures shift and adapt outside of their original contexts, through unpacking rituals around food. She draws inspiration from Vietnamese customs and iconographies, and how new meaning is created through interpretation.
