​春天来了，万物复苏，湾区人民又到了抽 H-1B 的季节。 每年这个时候，许多人的生活都会被一个看不见的系统短暂地悬置：提交材料，等待结果，把未来交给一次随机抽签。H1B.Life 是一个仍在开发中的实验性游戏，它试图把这些熟悉的经验——抽签、等待、身份转换、突如其来的制度变化——转化为一套可以被亲身体验的游戏机制。在游戏中，你可能会遇到决定命运的随机抽签、突然发生的工作或政策变化，以及在时间、身份与生活之间不断做出的选择。这不是一个关于胜负的游戏，更像是一种对现实制度的模拟：当规则被摆在桌面上，当命运被写成卡牌，我们也许能以另一种方式重新看见它。这一次，来自 Reality Reload 的游戏设计师、记者和制作人把 H1B.Life 的目前的早期版本带到书店，与大家一起分享这个项目的构想与开发故事，也邀请大家一起试玩、交流，并参与这个项目仍在形成中的过程。

​Spring has returned to the Bay Area, and like clockwork, thousands gather to perform an ancient and anxious ritual： the annual H-1B lottery draw.

​For many, this time of year brings a familiar suspension of ordinary life: submitting documents, waiting for results, handing your future over to a random draw. H1B.Life is an experimental game still in development that tries to translate these experiences — the lottery, the waiting, the shift in status, the sudden policy changes — into mechanics you can actually feel. In the game, you might encounter a random draw that decides your fate, an unexpected job loss or rule change, and the constant choices you make between time, identity, and the life you're trying to build.

​This time, game designers, journalists, and producers from Reality Reload are bringing an early build of H1B.Life to the bookstore — to share the story behind the project, invite you to play, and open up a process that is still very much taking shape. Come play together
