​The aim of this talk is to explore the evolution of unit testing—from the classic principles found in books like Working Effectively with Legacy Code (often rooted in C++ experience) to our current modern landscape heavily shaped by AI. Together, we will examine how generative AI is reshaping this space. 

​With AI now capable of generating test suites on its own, how does the developer’s responsibility shift? Drawing from real-world development experience and insights gained from consulting with various engineering teams, this talk outlines how AI tools change the way we write, maintain, and think about unit tests.
