Planting, Picking Up Litter, and Some Walking!

​Hey all! Join us to plant seeds in neglected garden beds (on public or commercial property) and pick up some litter as we walk along Fort Avenue!

​We’ll park at the Tree of Life Midtown at 2027 12th Street (they’re closed Saturdays) and then meet on the side of Dash Food Mart with the garden bed. We’ll plant some seeds/plants in that bed, then head out towards the Fort Early Food Mart. As we walk, we’ll keep an eye out for places that need TLC and grab litter along the way.

​We’ll have vests and gardening tools, but please bring water and some walking shoes! This won’t be very strenuous by any means, but we’ll walk ~2.5 miles round trip, some of which is on an incline.

​If any of you have seeds or plants that we can plant in full sun in October, please bring them! Milkweed, coneflowers, coreopsis, iris, we’ll take it!

​And then coming up is our monthly meetup at Three Roads on Monday the 19th from 6-7pm. Be thinking on any projects that we could do in the month of November. Alright, see you soon!
