Vancouver Technology User Group is kickstarting 2026 by re-engaging our community of 2,000+ members with deep-dives into the technologies shaping the modern enterprise.

Explore the building blocks of modern IT, with a focus on Azure infrastructure, identity, and Zero Trust security featuring three focused sessions designed to build your understanding of Microsoft Azure and modern security architecture.

  • 05:00 PM: Doors Open & Networking

  • 05:30 PM: Session 1: Zero Trust Foundations

    • Explore the core principles of Zero Trust and how Microsoft 365 enforces secure access using identity, device, and risk signals. This foundational session will set the stage for a deeper dive into Zero Trust.

  • 06:00 PM: Session 2: Azure Foundations

    • This session covers the core principles of a well-architected environment, including governance, resource organization, identity, and cost management, then puts them into practice with a look at Azure Site Recovery and Azure Virtual Desktop.

  • 06:30 PM: Networking Break (Food & Drinks)

  • 06:45 PM: Session 3: Azure Virtual Desktop

    • This session covers Nerdio Enterprise and how it simplifies management of Azure Virtual Desktop and Windows 365 environments at scale. We'll walk through multi-tenant administration, auto-scaling, image management, and cost optimization, giving IT admins and architects a practical look at what Nerdio Enterprise can handle and where it fits in a modern desktop infrastructure stack.
