AI Workflows in User Research
AI Workflows in User Research
🎯 What it will be about
Back in February, our UX Research democratization meetup opened a can of questions: how are people using AI in research, day to day — not in theory, but in practice?
We would like to learn this as well, so we would like to invite you to this meetup. We're following up with three speakers from three different companies, each bringing one real, specific use case of AI workflow in user research applied in their company.
🗣️ Speakers:
Yulia Cao from Kiwi.com
Kateřina Večerková from Gen
Ivy Kolcun from Alma Career Czechia
No silver bullet, no pitch decks, no "this changes everything" hype. Just real examples of what's working, what isn't, and what they're still figuring out, so you leave with a few things worth trying (or skipping) yourself.
👉 Important note: The meetup will be held in English.
You can join online via Google Meet - https://meet.google.com/tbs-joir-gyk

Program
Yujia is going to tell you that AI won't replace researchers. It'll keep us busier than ever. Everyone is asking whether AI will replace UX researchers. At Kiwi.com, we've found the opposite: we've never been busier. In this talk you'll hear:
How AI fits into our everyday research workflow: planning, recruitment, running studies, analysis and reporting. What works, what doesn't, and where we still don't trust it.
Why AI amplifies researchers instead of replacing them: we get faster, better work, not less work.
How AI lets us go past the research handover. Researchers used to stop at "here's what we learned.", now we go much further.
What this means for our role: from delivering insights to driving impact
Kateřina Večeřová from Gen will tell you more about Synthetic users and how they use that method at Gen. What happens when you ask an AI to “be” your user? Kateřina will share how Gen approached the challenge of working with synthetic users, when they work well (and when they don’t) and why it takes more than simply training a custom GPT on research data.
Ivy Kolcun will tell you, whether "Building an AI User Research Assistant is a rabbit hole 🐇 or turbo spaceship 🚀". Can AI really save time in research, or does it just shift the work?
Drawing on my own experience building an assistant meant to help other people who do research, I'll show where we can speed up and where we end up sinking unnecessarily deep into areas that we previously didn't need to pay attention to.
See you there! 👋
