Build Labs Workshop: Introduction to Python

The 8-week Python workshop introduces beginners to programming fundamentals and gradually advances into practical projects. It starts with setup, basic syntax, variables, conditionals, and loops, then integrates GitHub for version control. Students build progressively complex projects such as calculators, games (Rock-Paper-Scissors, Number Guessing), a to-do list app, a quiz game, and a gradebook while learning lists, functions, and dictionaries. Later weeks cover APIs and allow participants to choose and develop their own projects, with collaborative opportunities supported via GitHub and Discord. The final weeks focus on project completion, mentorship support, and presentations, encouraging practical coding experience, teamwork, and confidence in showcasing work.
