We're swapping the books we love !📚
Bring one fiction book you’ve read and loved. Wrap it up. Write a few clues. Then swap it for a mystery book brought by someone else.
This is a book swap, and a conversation about the books we love. A private venue, all materials, a variety of teas and a sweet treat are all included. 🍵🤎🍪
How it works
Bring one fiction book you’ve already read, would genuinely recommend, and would like to give away to someone else.
Please make sure your book is in as good a condition as possible - no stains, torn or bent pages, dog-ears, writing or highlighting, loose pages, or damaged covers. Think: a book you’d be happy to receive yourself.
Wrap it.
We’ll have everything you need to wrap your book when you arrive, along with a little card where you’ll write a few clues about what’s inside.
Swap.
We’ll put all the mystery books together and take turns choosing one based on its clues. Once everyone has chosen, we’ll unwrap them together.
Talk.
We’ll settle into smaller groups and spend the rest of the afternoon talking about books - what we’re reading, what we love, the books we can’t stop recommending, and the ones we couldn’t get through.📖
We’ll have conversation cards on each table to get things going, but there’s no pre-reading or anything to prepare beforehand.
The flow.

Leave: With a new book and a few new conversations.

F&B
We'll have some light snacks and tea. You're free to bring along your own drinks as well or pop over to the Cozy Cup just opposite the venue and get a drink at a 15% discount - just tell them you're from 'Chapters'.
