Solana Summer: Khao-Chae Songkran Edition
Bangkok is officially at max temperature, which means it’s time to close laptops and celebrate Songkran. Hosted by unofficial Superteam Thailand, we're trading co-working hustle for some actual Thai culture. Whether you’re an expat, a local builder, or just surviving the market, you're invited to touch grass, cool off, and link up with community.
We’re heading to experience Khao-Chae, Thailand’s original summer survival meal that is strictly available once a year during the Songkran festival.
If this is your first time, get ready for a sensory trip. Khao-Chae is a highly refined spread: premium jasmine rice steeped in ice-cold, floral-scented water, surrounded by a meticulously crafted lineup of traditional sides. We’re talking stuffed banana peppers, glazed sun-dried fish, sweetened stir-fried stingray, crispy shredded pork or beef, caramelized radish, and golden egg-battered shrimp paste balls. It’s authentic, incredibly refreshing, and the ultimate setup to just chill and yap with frens.
The Details:
Vibe: High culture, low pressure. We’re experiencing a premium, heritage-level summer lunch, but keeping the usual community energy. Zero forced networking, no awkward icebreakers, just real people enjoying a meal together.
Tab: Everyone covers their own dish. The exclusive Khao-Chae set runs THB 690++ per person. Buy in, eat well.
When You Arrive: Tell the staff 'Happy Songkran kaa/krub' and look for the group that clearly radiates Web3 energy. If your radar is off and you can't find the spot, just shoot a message to Mewtwo on Telegram (@pilotmew) and we’ll secure your landing.
Bring your appetite, leave the laptops at home, and let's celebrate the Thai New Year. See you there.
