Skate for Climate!
Join IGC and Strong Towns San Diego for climate joy on the rink before the Water Summit. If you don't plan to join the Paddle Out, this is the perfect alternative! 🛼 Arrive at SkateWorld at 5 pm, skate for 30 mins, hear about the hosting orgs, then head to the Water Summit in time for the panel and breakout sessions. Or stay and skate the night away with us.

Getting There - Transit 🚌
Group ride: Meet at Fashion Valley Transit Center (parking available) and we will ride the 120 bus together. Bus leaves at 4:51pm. Or take the 44 or 120 to Comstock St. and Linda Vista Rd. 👉🏼 Avoid traffic and parking by planning your trip with MTS.
Why Skate for Climate?
Climate justice work can be emotionally taxing. To maintain our resilience, we need to balance the tough stuff with joyful play! So gather your friends and family and join other climate justice leaders on the roller rink! Quads and inline skates are welcome and rentals are available. General admission is $18
Admission + Skate rental is $25
Kids under 5 years are $10, including skates
Register here on Luma then follow the SkateWorld registration link in your confirmation email. Half of proceeds support IGC Carbon Literacy scholarships, which keep science-based action-focused climate education accessible in San Diego!
Chaperone Policy
This is not a drop-off event. All guests age 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult age 21 or older (ID may be required). One adult may chaperone up to four minors. Unaccompanied minors will be asked to leave. All attendees must pay admission unless they are a non-skating adult chaperoning a child under 17.
