The old world is crumbling. Join us for this massive clandestine gathering spread across four floors in the heart of San Francisco.

We gather not for empty fanfare, but for a necessary act of assembly and renewal. Engage in the collective energy to shed the baggage of the past, embrace rebirth, and forge the intentions that will serve as your guiding coordinates for the cycle ahead.

Birthed in San Francisco, LA GENTE SF blends World Music, Cumbia, Reggae, Salsa, Hip-Hop, and Reggaeton into a high-energy, distinctly Bay Area dance experience. Led by singer-songwriter and Recording Academy voting member Rafael Sarria Bustamante, the group draws on rhythms and cultural influences from across Latin America and the Caribbean. Their latest album, Entre 2 Mundos, and its accompanying music videos were created across San Francisco, Colombia, Spain, Mexico, and Morocco. An old time stringband brings rowdy high energy tunes for fun Square Dancing, on fiddle, guitar, banjo & bass. Caller Evie Ladin is adept at getting every body dancing with fun and ease. All dances taught, no experience needed.


Katie Harrell (Shadow Puppets)
Katie Harrell is a performer, musician, and shadow puppet artist whose creative journey has been shaped by her deep immersion in Balinese traditional arts. Katie's artistic odyssey into shadow puppetry began as a Fulbright Researcher in Bali in 2015, immersed in the study of traditional Balinese vocal music, where she was introduced to the rich vocal music tradition of wayang kulit (Balinese shadow theater). She has studied with esteemed puppeteers, I Nyoman Sumandhi, and I Made Juanda and has performed wayang kulit as a shadow puppet master with Gamelan Sekar Jaya and as a vocal accompanist with Larry Reed of ShadowLight Productions.

Daniel Berkman is a San Francisco-based composer, multi-instrumentalist, accompanist, singer-songwriter, electronic musician, looper, producer, film and dance score composer, and innovator of electro-acoustic music, specializing in the kora (a 21-stringed West African harp), on which he has produced four acclaimed musical releases: 'Heartstrings' (1996), ‘Feverdreams’(1998), ‘Calabashmoon’(2005), and 'Headlands' (2015).

The boundaries of genre give way to a multi-faceted soundscape, with a healthy blend of World House, down-tempo Bass, and eclectic rhythms that interweave smartly, with a delightful aftertaste.
