Speakers:
Michael Matta is the CEO & Co-Founder at Solink, he founded Solink in 2010 with a classmate from University. Prior to Solink, Mike worked with Bell Canada Enterprise (BCE) as an Associate Director of Corporate Strategy where he helped guide the company during its corporate restructuring in 2008; pending a leveraged buyout by the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan. He also facilitated the execution and integration of key transactions at Bell including the acquisition of Virgin Mobile Canada and The Source. Mike has a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
Larry Hasson, CPA CA, is Co-Founder of Remitian and Director at McIntyre & Associates Professional Corporation in Ottawa. With a BSc from University of Western Ontario, he earned his Chartered Accountant designation in 2010. Frustrated by how clients routinely missed tax deadlines, he co-created Remitian to automate secure, compliant tax-payments for accounting firms. Beyond the office he’s an Ironman-triathlete, hiking enthusiast and family man, bringing the same discipline to tech-innovation as he does to tax.
Maxwell Nicholson is Co-Founder & CEO of Blossom Social, Canada’s community-first investing platform that combines social networking with brokerage-level tools. A University of Victoria graduate, Maxwell previously worked at McKinsey & Company and now leads Blossom to rapid growth, celebrating over 500 K members and recognition as one of Apple’s Top 25 Apps for 2025. Passionate about empowering everyday investors, he guided Blossom’s early funding rounds and fosters a team grounded in shared stories and collective momentum.
Sally Daub is the Co-Founder at BorderPass, she is a seasoned entrepreneur, executive, lawyer, and investor. She founded a graphics chip company, scaled it to $100M in revenue, and took it public. As a Managing Partner at Pool Global Partners, she supports early-stage tech ventures with hands-on guidance. Sally is also a fellow at the Creative Destruction Lab, advising deep-tech startups in healthcare, quantum, crypto, and machine learning. She has served on boards including Hydro One and Trillium Health Partners. A chemical engineer and lawyer, Sally has been named one of Canada’s 100 most powerful women four times and holds an honorary PhD.
