An extra October meeting, bringing Fashion Book Club to the east end!
We'll be gathering at La Maison Atelier, the concept store of Toronto label Beyond Space, to read Nathalie Khan's "Cutting the Fashion Body: Why the Fashion Image Is No Longer Still."
Exploring how fashion film has changed the way we see clothes and the body, Khan's essay asks what means for fashion to exist in motion. We'll screen three of the four fashion films Khan references, and discuss how moving images shape the way we see and make fashion today.
