Portsmouth Freelancers Meet
PFMeet is back! 🎉
After a bit of a hiatus, Portsmouth Freelancers Meet is officially making a comeback — with a new regular night.
From now on, we’ll be meeting on the 4th Wednesday of every month for casual networking, drinks and the occasional talk for Portsmouth’s creative, freelance and small business community.
For our first event back, we’re keeping things simple. No talk, no agenda — just a good old-fashioned PFMeet. Come along, grab a drink, catch up with some familiar faces, meet some new ones and help us get the PFMeet momentum going again.
What is PFMeet?
PFMeet is a free networking group that’s been running in Portsmouth since 2010. It’s for web developers, designers, filmmakers, photographers, artists, writers, entrepreneurs, freelancers, small business owners — and generally anyone doing their own thing in the creative or digital world.
It’s always been about relaxed, friendly networking without the awkward business-card-shoving kind of vibe. Come on your own or bring someone along, stay for one drink or the whole evening.
🗓️ When: The 4th Wednesday of every month, from 18:30
📍 Where: The Sir Loin of Beef, Highland Road — in the function room with access to the small outdoor patio.
What to expect
18:30 – After-work mingle
Grab a drink, say hello and catch up with fellow freelancers and creatives.19:30ish – A very quick PFMeet hello
We’ll do a short welcome, reintroduce PFMeet and let you know what we’ve got planned for future meetups. Then – Casual networking until 22:00ish
That’s it! Chat, make some new connections, reconnect with old ones and have a drink with people who understand the joys and occasional chaos of working for yourself.
🏳️🌈 PFMeet is a safe, inclusive and LGBTQ+ friendly space.
A couple of useful things to know:
The pub doesn’t serve food, but you’re welcome to bring your own or order a delivery. We’ll also have a few snacks knocking around.
PFMeet is completely free to attend, but please register so we have an idea of numbers.
Got questions? Drop me a message on Instagram or email hello@pfmeet.co.uk.
Parking: Not gonna lie, it’s a bit of a nightmare around there thanks to the permit zones. The nearest parking is around a 10-minute walk away by Coffee Cup Eastney, but there are good public transport links and a bus stop right outside.
It’s been a while. Come and help us get PFMeet going again! ❤️
