Scadding Court Community Centre and PS707 are teaming up to offer a fun, retro 80s dance aerobics class outside in the 'backyard' (parking lot).
It's summer, it's Friday, and who doesn't love a boombox party?
Think Jane Fonda on VHS, or Canada's :20 Minute Workout with Bess Motta. But with gentler, more accessible movement for all bodies.
You've heard of chair yoga, but have you heard of chair aerobics?
Leg warmers optional. Bring your own headband, or get one when you arrive. (Limited quantities.)

We'll be joined by SCCC staff, and the Alexandra Park seniors. The class will be led by dance artist Jen Hum.

Jen Hum is an independent dancer, creator and performer. A soloist and multifaceted collaborator, she has performed in Dance: Made in Canada, Dusk Dances, Dance Matters, Toronto Fringe Festival, The Reel Asian Film Festival, and Nuit Blanche, and collaborated with diverse companies including Fujiwara Dance Inventions, Tracey Norman Dance, Redsnow Collective, Polynomials Dance, J9 Dance Projects, Alias Dance Projects, Anandam Dance Theatre, and Xing Dance Theatre. She has trained locally and abroad is always excited about what future artistic investigations will bring.
