​Kevin Dolan argues that the academic, economic, and cultural institutions most people still rely on have turned hostile to competence and entered a slow decline, and that they can't be reformed from within until there's real leverage built outside them.

​That's the premise behind EXIT, the fraternity he founded after being doxxed and fired in 2021. The aim of the organization isn't to escape the system, but to position members for whatever comes after it.

​Dolan's view is that institutional decline opens political and civic ground that's more available now than it has been in a long time for people organized enough to use it.
